how many times did you see elders hounding congregation members to quit their jobs due to missing meetings?.
my brother worked at a grocery store at 16 years old.
he would miss tuesday's ministry school due to his work schedule.
Workers get tired of bailing out and subsidizing entitled co workers. If you have to work every Saturday morning because Jehovah’s Witness Johnny has field service you just might look for a different job. This terrifies your employer as he doesn’t want to cover every weekend either.
My brother is an elder. When he went out to look for employment, he would always tell the hiring manager that he was a Jehovah's Witness. That meant that he couldn't work late on Monday's and Wednesday's. He couldn't work on Sunday's because he needed to attend meetings. He also needed a certain week off for summer conventions. Most companies wouldn't hire him with all those stipulations. The company that did hire him gave in to all the rules, but within time they made him work on a few of his meeting nights. He quit after they decided they wouldn't give in to all his rules on when he could or couldn't work.

But, yet there is no accountability in this sick religion. It’s nothing but chaos.
After 40 years in, I witnessed all the drama, backstabbing, rumors, divorces, cheating, a physical fight inside the Kingdom Hall, spankings of small children where no one said a word, members who would change congregations due to conflicts with Elders, heated words on the podium from one Elder to another Elder, spousal abuse, disfellowshipping, brothers who were contractors who were shady even to fellow members, Elders who favored family when it came down to appointments for Ministerial Servants and new Elders, loans that were never paid to fellow members ...where Elders were called to step in, Elder wives blabbering everything they knew that was happening in the congregation, members who took and sold drugs, and alcoholics.

I had noticed just about all the older Witnesses telling me to quit my job were either well established in the workforce or already collecting their pensions! But yet these hypocrites had the balls to promote poverty for some younger person. There is no forgiveness for them, in my book.
My congregation had two Elders who ran a construction company. They would buy lots in the North Shore of Illinois and build homes from $400,000 and up. They had sub-contractors for most of their work. They would leave early on meeting days, take time off for assemblies, and even had the time to pioneer several times a year. They both had money, owned time shares and dressed in expensive suits.
It was painful to watch these asshole Elders harass and hound the welder to quit his job ( who knew he was lucky to have a job that paid well). The welder retired years ago with a good pension.

My brother worked at a grocery store at 16 years old. He would miss Tuesday's ministry school due to his work schedule. The Elders had a talk with my mom. They felt that since he was still living at home, and didn't need to support himself, he should quit his job. My mom made my brother quit his job.
One brother was always being pressured to quit his 2nd shift factory job because he missed too many meetings. This brother had no high school education. His employer liked him so much, they paid his way to a trade school to become a welder. He was being paid over $30 an hour with plenty of overtime. He never quit his job, even with the pressure and hounding of the Elders.
Another brother ( a ministerial servant) worked in construction, and would miss meetings due to working late. His employer wouldn't let him leave early on meeting nights. The Elders threatened to remove him as a ministerial servant if he kept on missing meetings. He finally quit his job due to the threat. Luckily, his wife worked to help support the family. It took months before he found another job.

https://salvationcall.com/apostates/
Apostates are those who have committed apostasy. Apostates used to be followers of Jesus, but they ceased to be followers along the line. Apostates are devout Christians who have abandoned Christianity and are no more Christians.
Taking this Scripture into consideration, if at any point in time, a Christian turns away from the truth or true doctrines and embraces false doctrines, he ceases to be a true worshipper and child of God; rather, he becomes an apostate. Those Christians who become apostate by embracing and practicing false doctrines do not become unbelievers as we understand the term unbelievers, for they still maintain that they are Christians, and that they are part of the Christendom, and that they believe in Jesus, and that they teach from the Bible; at least they may have few opinions about Jesus or few Biblical doctrines that are true.
However, they have quite a number of false doctrines that contradict the core beliefs of the Christian faith. Christians who apostatize by embracing false doctrines form a category of apostates who are well known as heretics. Heretics are a category of apostates who either believe and practice entirely false doctrines or they believe and practice a synthesis of true and false doctrines. Heretics teach their false doctrines to other Christians and non-Christians alike to convert them to become heretics.
One notable heretic in recent history is Charles Taze Russell, founder of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Russel managed to teach his false doctrines to others and won as many as possible to start the denomination which is now called Jehovah’s Witnesses. Though Jehovah’s Witnesses has many unbiblical doctrines, they still count themselves as Christians. Other examples are Joseph Smith, founder of Latter-Day Saints.

David Splane comes out firing and is relentless as to the reasons why Christianity was brought down. Christianity was not broken down by persecution, but by false brothers and apostate teachings. Today, Jehovah's Witnesses face the same danger from false brothers and apostates. He goes on to say, ''There are false brothers who are presenting a real danger to the congregations, a greater danger than even outright persecution.''
What does David Splane call these critics of the Society and true worshippers and who is responsible for these dangers :
poisonous apostates, false brothers, apostate teachings, spiritual poison, Satan is behind the twisted teachings and apostates are behind the accusations and rumors against the Society
David Splane wants all his listeners to think that all the criticisms of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the media is apostate-driven lies. However, he provides no supporting data for his claims, provides weak arguments and clearly see his bias throughout his talk. He does not provide one shred of evidence for all his claims.
Mr. Splane forgets to mention that the so-called apostates were right about child abuse in the congregations. How did they handle this outright lie? Here is Mr. Stephen Lett providing the answer:
“Another way we can contribute to the oneness: rejecting false stories that are designed to separate us from Jehovah’s organization. As an example, think about the apostate-driven lies and dishonesties that Jehovah’s organization is permissive toward pedophiles. I mean, that is ridiculous, isn’t it! If anybody takes action against someone who would threaten our young ones, and takes action to protect our young ones, it is Jehovah’s organization. We reject outright such lies.”
one thing i always disliked about the watchtower society is how they use young children tp peddle their literature.
my mom insisted that my brother (12 years old) and i (9 years old) go out in field service every saturday morning.
didn't matter if it was 90 degrees or 20 degrees, we were out peddling watchtower magazines.
Biahi
The top photo shows one child that looks about 4 years old and the older child about 7. They are assisted in the offering of magazines by their mom. It's sad that every Jehovah's Witness parent pressures their small children into field service, signing up in the ministry school and getting baptized.
How did your parents react when you stopped field service, stop attending meetings and left the organization? They sound like the typical Watchtower parents where they control their kids lives while at home and still try to control their lives after they move out.

That was made very clear in a convention video a couple of years ago. Phone home if you're in trouble, don't expect your call to be answered.

No, because worshipping God is a personal decision. (Romans 14:12) Jehovah’s Witnesses teach their children Bible principles, but when the children grow older, each one must decide for himself whether he will become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.—Romans 12:2; Galatians 6:5.
Like most parents, Jehovah’s Witnesses want the best for their children. They teach their children what they think will benefit them: practical skills, as well as moral principles and religious beliefs. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Bible promotes the best way of life, so they try to instill its values in their children by studying the Bible with them and attending Christian meetings together. (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7) Each child, when he grows older, can then make an informed decision about whether to adopt his parents’ faith.
